Saturday 18 February 2017 It will host the first edition of "Traditional Carnival Lucano”, organized by B&B Matera. The traditional masks of Lucan and musicians carnival parade through the streets of the city center. The event will involve several groups from the province of Matera: the folk group of "The Brigands Montesi", the Pro Loco Ferrandina and the folk group "Uggiano Ferrandina", The bell ringers of San Mauro Forte and the Cultural Association "The Temple” di Garaguso.

Starting at 18:30 the Piazzetta Pascoli the streets of the old town will be the backdrop to the protagonists of the "traditional Carnival Lucano” will parade until late.
