Materadio is the festival of Radio 3 now in its fifth edition, to be held in Matera from 4 to the 6 September. That of the 2015, but, It is the first of Matera as European Capital of Culture 2019. Really an issue special will welcome the caravan of Rai Radio 3 with happiness and participation. The goal of Capital of Culture It was achieved thanks to all employees of RAI Radio 3 which in previous years have accompanied Matera in this exciting challenge in a completely free.

As states Paolo Verri, Foundation director Matera Basilicata 2019, Materadio allowed to speak to the country and to Europe and to reflect, through its programs, on important challenges that await all lovers of culture, highlighting not only the pleasures and above all the responsibility. This year they will address issues of particular importance: the the relationship between generations, from innovation and bureaucracy, from built city and its inhabitants. Guests will be exceptional to focus their attention on issues that have played an important role in the application and which are particularly important to a community with an ancient history and that is capable of look forward. Here in Matera, where, for example, near the center of space geodesy are traces of Neolithic villages, past and future talk dignity and respect, dialogue with each other to make this stronger and build a vision of hope and trust for future generations.

The edition of Materadio 2015 will launch the story of path which will build a European Capital of Culture through the party that Materadio days 4-5-6 September fill squares, le sale, houses and quarries with the protagonists of programs and shows of Radio 3.

The main theme this year will be the idea. The first concerns cities, the changes they are experiencing, the relation that keep with their traditional identity from the archaeological, the strength they draw to face new tests and new conflicts. The second is the relationship between generations, between experience and innovation; node very critical now also faced with the crisis of the labor market. Themes are vast and crucial fields of the future of our country and perhaps not only of our country.
