The nativity scene in the Sassi Matera turns on the lights of Christmas.

"Follow the star Comet” is the title of this fifth edition to be held from 2 to the 5 January 2015. There will be over 300 i appearing and historical re-enactors. The path, of about 5 km in total, will be divided into two parts. The first in which the set will resume scene Typical of the world Ancient Roman: the castrum, the Roman camp, dancers, School Gladiators, Senate, la house. The second part will involve more closely the issue of Nativity and some Gospel passages. The cave of the Child Jesus will be also played a comet Long almost 4 meters. To further contribute to the Christmas atmosphere that will be created will be expected to play of light Also on the plateau of the Murgia.

The idea behind the design of the location in which unfolds the nativity scene is to set up a light setting that can mark and indicate the way up to the Grotto of the Nativity in "Rione Casalnuovo".

Path Nativity consists of three parts:
• Part one: Spectacularization – Performance of the Cultural Gruppo Storico Romano (by Ipogei Piazza Vittorio Veneto, through Via Fiorentini and Madonna of the Virtues)
• Part two: Stand construction presentation and sale of gourmet products and local arts and crafts (Door Gun).
• Part Three: Living Nativity (Piazza San Pietro Caveoso until Rione Malve).

The entry time varies depending on the type of visitors, below is the complete list:
• Hours 16:00 – Access for disabled people accompanied.
• Pm 16:30 at 18:00 – Access to groups of 20 unit.
• Pm 18:30 at 21:30 – Access for individuals, families or groups of up to 19 unit.
